Nyu lutheran exists to serve its neighbors. we are dedicated to caring for whole persons throughout whole communities. as a stabilizing foundation for these communities, lutheran is committed to meeting our neighbors' changing physical, emotional, spiritual, intellectual and social needs. on april 1, 2015, nyu lutheran medical center completed an affiliation agreement with nyu hospitals center. in december 2015, the affiliated organizations received approval from the new york state department of health to enter into a full asset merger, with nyu hospitals center as the successor entity. the merger became effective january 1, 2016.
