With a founding mission to help the people of the east bronx build better lives, st. Raymond community outreach (srco) is distinguished, today, by its superlative arts and education programs for children, early adolescents and teenagers. Srco is a non-sectarian, community based organization located in community district 9, serving the east bronx and the immediate neighborhood of parkchester. The founding board committed itself to revitalize the east bronx community and strengthen families. During srco's first decade, the most immediate and pressing needs inspired grass roots leadership, innovative programs and a full and varied menu of services. In the 2nd decade, st. Raymond community outreach (srco) is deeply committed to addressing root causes of failure in impoverished and under-resourced communities by providing a continuum of linked services through school-based, social service, and community building programs, located in the parkchester, east bronx, soundview and castle hill.
