The primary purpose of burbank tournament of roses association is to represent the city of burbank in sponsoring, planning, designing, building, decorating and entering a float in the annual pasdena tournament of roses parade so as to provide educational opportunities and cultural understanding via an event participated in by members of the local and world-wide communities. all phases of the organization's purpose begin with an open design contest. plans, schematics, actual construction and all decoration of the float are done entirely by volunteers regardless of sex, ethnic background, religious preference or race.
