The primary purpose of los angeles mission college foundation is to advance the college's education and cultural goals by: 1. promoting the college in the community; 2. assisting the college in fulfilling its role of service to the community by providing a continuum of human services to promote long-term family self-sufficiency and increase economic orpportunities to persons of low-to moderate income. services will include but will not be limited to academic and vocational training, financial literacy education, entrepreneur training, employment assistance, leadership training, counseling, case management services; and to provide assistance to low-income members of the college community as a method by which to advance equity in education, pprovide basic food, and to promote social welfare within the structure allowed by the los angeles community college district.
