The california payphone association was established to promote the general welfare and the common business interests of companies and persons in the pay telephone industry in california. Particular attention is directed to encouraging the conduct of payphone businesses in accordance with the highest standards of business ethics, the provision of education and training, the creation of a forum for the exchange of information on industry operations.the specific, non-profitable purposes of the corporation are the following: 1) to promote and preserve the general welfare and the common business interests of the pay telephone (payphone) industry and of persons engaged in that industry.2) to establish a permanent organization for operators, users, designers, manufacturers and vendors of payphones in order to foster and maintain collegial and social relations among them.3) to encourage conduct in accordance with the highest standards of business ethics and to seek, through cooperative efforts
