Founded in 1996, city arts of san mateo is a non-profit organization working to create, connect, and celebrate the visual literary, and performing arts in the city of san mateo.During the past 26 years, we have sponsored:an annual visual and literary arts recognition program for high school students within the city of san mateo, students received certificates of achievement and a month-long exhibit of the student art was displayed at the city's main library.A series of community poetry readings held at local coffee houses, the public library, and a local performing arts studio.An annual free summertime community music series held at san mateo's central park.City arts of san mateo is an all volunteer organization. every member of the board of directors volunteers his or her time. there is no paid staff.
