Columbia River Channel Coalition
The columbia river channel coalition was formed to build public consensus for an economically viable and environmentally sound plan to deepen and maintain the columbia and willamette deep-draft federal navigation channels to accommodate larger ships, enhance trade and jobs. The coalition will provide information, serve as a public liaison regarding the project for the sponsoring ports, do outreach to communities to assure a broad public understanding of the project, encourage participation in the public debate and assure community and elected leaders are informed about the need for these navigation infrastructure investments. The member ports include portland and st. Helens, oregon and kalama, longview, vancouver and woodland, washington.
