Diaz Art For Youth
MISSION STATEMENT: Reaching out to youth with opportunities through art and life skills instruction and mentoring, in a safe place so they can develop to their full potential and become productive citizens. This program consists of fine art and life skills training, where mentoring takes place through interaction while working on art projects. Prevention messages are delivered while the youth are engaged in the creative process (the art opens their minds to receiving messages more readily.) The youth learn the importance of staying in school, off drugs and avoiding violent situations. Attitude changes are directly linked to improved behavior and outcomes.
