Goonj Foundation

Overview

Mission

Create support and awareness for equitable ecosystems that foster dignity, strength, and sustenance between resource-rich and resource-poor communities.

What it reported doing in 2025

The Goonj Foundation built and expanded its CRM, continued to update its website, and worked to grow a community of supporters. We conducted various awareness-building activities, including participating in and organizing events on the sidelines of key conferences. We also continued engagements with US universities to help them understand our philosophy and undertake research on how this approach can improve social impact outcomes.

Operating model

Revenue model
Donor-supported. 100% of the money available for current operations came from contributions and gifts.
Distribution model
Direct operator. The filing allocates 100% of reported program-service expenses outside its grant, affiliate-payment, and member-benefit lines. This expense classification does not rule out separately announced grant awards.
