In late 2021, sportsmom foundation launched as an organization dedicated to supporting girl student athletes as they prepare for academics, sports and life. despite efforts to ensure equity in scholastic sports between girls and boys, unfortunately, this playing field is not level when considering socio economic differences. this is also reflective at the college level where there are significant disparities of girls in sports based on race and economic status. sportsmom foundation is committed to ensuring that girls have the resources needed to compete and achieve at the highest levels academically and athletically. we provide support for girls to access academic support, additional sports and athletic training, mental health resources, recruiting advice, life skills mentorship and more.
