Achievement 1echo after school music club: project esmes echo program is a free youth training program and after school music club that taught students how to give interactive community engagement performance and provide free private lessons, workshops, orchestra rehearsals and side-by-side community performance opportunities with esme to students throughout the school year. the program faculty included artists from the grand rapids symphony and detroit symphony orchestra. achievement 2clinics: project esme partnered with burton middle school, john ball zoo school and city high middle school this year in creating residency clinics, performing and workshopping with thier students, along with free field trip concerts for the grandville avenue arts & humanities. these clinics involved multiple school visits by esme artists throughout the year, rehearsals, coachings, esme arrangements created for and provided to students, collaborations with school music teachers and side-by-side culmination school concerts performed with the students. achievement 3the esme string camp: the esme string camp is a week long day camp we ran at aquinas college art and music center for music students of all ages and levels. students from all across west michigan as well as from texas, new jersey, minnesota and england came to grand rapids to participate in this camp. the esme string camp offered accessible, holistically designed and interactive programs created by diverse, world class faculty we brought together from organizations such as detroit symphony orchestra and grand rapids ballet. students participated in private lessons, chamber musics and ochestra coachings, interactive workshops, masterclasses and concerts. exempt purpose:project esme is a 501c3 non-profit in performing arts and arts education based in grand rapids that creates community engagement and music education outreach programming in west michigan. our education programs combine world class artistry and pedagogy with holistic and accessible programs for youth.
