Open Contracting Partnership

Overview

Mission

To enable one billion people to live in more equitable, prosperous and sustainable communities by helping partners across government, civil society and the private sector to design procurement reforms, build coalitions and co-create digital solutions, powered by open data.

What it reported doing in 2025

Data Products & Support Services: Through our data support team, we guide our community of government, civil society, and business experts to publish public contracting data and develop and use data analytics and monitoring tools to increase transparency, public oversight, efficiency, competition, and quality of service delivery in the government procurement market. Governments in over 30 countries are using the Open Contracting Data Standard (OCDS), a free, non-proprietary open data standard to publish data and documents at all stages of the contracting process.

Operating model

Revenue model
Donor-supported. 60% of the money available for current operations came from contributions and gifts.
Distribution model
Direct operator. The filing allocates 100% of reported program-service expenses outside its grant, affiliate-payment, and member-benefit lines. This expense classification does not rule out separately announced grant awards.
