Valor Healing Farms
Valor healing farms has been created to serve the military community including veterans, active duty, caregivers, families and first responders.Through farming internships, therapeutic horticulture, sustainable gardening, animal-assisted therapy and nature, vhf programs are designed to benefit participants in meaningful and lasting ways. our mission is to promote mind/body well-being, mental and emotional balance, self-care skills, life skills, career opportunities, stress reduction, recovery from ptsd, and suicide prevention. we use several local farms in ojai/ventura county. our long-term goal is to find a piece of land in the same area to be our permanent home. this space will be dedicated to providing participants with first-hand learning experiences that will show them: 1) how healing and growth can be found through connections to nature, gardening, animals, and healthy, nurturing experiences with other people; and, 2) how they can bring those therapeutic activities into their own
