Mission statement--the mission of the alabama law enforcement command and staff college (alecsc) is the oversight and development of human capital; offering comprehensive educational programs uniquely tailored to increase law enforcement effectiveness through organizational learning, performance, and change. The specific objectives and purposes of alecsc shall be education and professional development for the alabama law enforcement and public safety community. Alecsc is designed to intellectually develop public-safety practitioners and leaders; integrating capabilities by building a synergistic-link between academics, professional training, and doctrine to build public safety efficacy in the state of alabama. Alecsc's services will be offered unconditionally to all alabama law enforcement agencies cost-free; creating, a first-of-its-kind, statewide law enforcement educational/support system precisely focused on strengthening law enforcement professionalism and proficiency.
