Mission statement and program service accomplishments:filling a vital need for young women diagnosed with breast cancer by providing targeted, age-appropriate, and connected health and wellness resources to enable them to rise above the residual effects of breast cancer and complete a life-changing mind-body-spirit active expedition. the 6-month transformational wellness program - the ijourney - is defined by the end active expedition. currently there are 4 active expedition destinations: 1) summit everest base camp in nepal, 2) summit mount kilimanjaro in tanzania, 3) journey to the south pacific cook islands, and 4) trek through patagonia (chile and argentina. participants select which active expedition challenge they would like to achieve and are placed into small groups (less than 16), where together they train and offer mutual support.
