The mission of shaw equine & therapeutic equestrian center is to provide equine assisted activities and therapies to individuals with special needs in a safe and encouraging environment. we serve students from age 2 through seniors with a wide range of challenges including but not limited to: autism spectrum disorders, depression, anxiety, visually impaired, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, developmentally delayed, neurological disorders, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, chromosome disorders, etc. all students participate in equine assisted activities and therapies. students are set up for success by challenging their limits, breaking through barriers and reaching achievable goals such as but not limited to independence, an increase in muscle strength and memory, self-esteem, balance, coordination and socialization. the unique connection between horse and rider opens up new directions for growth, change and recovery. we at shaw farms therapeutic & equine center are passion
