The specific purpose of the corporation is to foster among california's youth a growing cadre of well qualified leaders in order to address societal problems. The corporation built a network of civic leaders and provided leadership development programs and assisted youth throughout california to acquire leadership skills and network connections to similarly interested persons. By working with organizations already delivering youth leadership services, such as foundations, corporations, government entities, neighborhood leaders and schools, the corporation helped stimulate an active multi-racial cadre of young people to help address problems in california communities well into the future.
