Cddc continues with the implemenation of the strategic business plan developed with community input and promulgated by the mayor and city council. these efforts include the renovation of a fomer downtown department store into premier office and retail space, development of downtown parks through the oversight of the scioto mile park and the scioto greenways projects, the construction of a new national veterans memorial and museum and the development of the downtown scioto peninsula. in 2022, construction started on our first affordable housing project, topiary park crossing. other recent revitalization projects include the purchase of 3 legacy office buildings from huntington national bank and a program to assist new downtown retailers, ground floor growth.
