Haltom city rifle and pistol club, inc., herein hcrpc or club, maintains and operates a rifle and pistol range facility located at 2100 minnis drive, haltom city, texas. hcrpc has operated the range facility since inception (1961) and plans to continue those operations in perpetuity. the primary purpose of the club is to promote safe and responsible participation and involvement in the shooting sports and outdoor activities activities such as wildlife conservation and habitat management. hcrpc events and activities are open to all club members. in addition, the public is invited to attend certain educational (hunter education. j nior rifle program and public sight in days) and competitive events (5 regularly scheduled shooting matches). shooting activities and educational events are held on club property and are funded by membership dues and revenue generated by shooting matches held at the range and fees paid by range guests. all club activities are designed to further the safe, responsible and ethical conduct of the shooting sports and other related matters such as providing educational opportunities. educational opportunities include range officer training, hunter education and a library of periodicals relating to firearms and other outdoor activities. hcrpc administration/governance and range operation is the responsibility of hcrpc members and is conducted exclusively by unpaid volunteers from within the organization. the club is governed by officers and directors who are club members that are elected by their peer club members through annual elections. hcrpc does not have any employees or contracted labor personnel. services rendered to the club, including maintenance and improvement projects to develop and enhance club property are conducted by members who donate their time to complete essential repair and construction work to ensure that the range environment is safe and no hazards are present for members and the public. hcrpc has historically been an involved and responsible corporate citizen and member of the community. donations to national and local charitable organizations such as the uso, shriners hospital for children, tarrant county food bank and meals on wheels are examples of the giving conducted by the club. the club has provided opportunities for youth members to become active and involved in the shooting sports and community events by sponsoring the junior rifle club and working to partner with local youth engaged in scouting activities such as eagle scout projects.
