Oklahoma Centennial Commemoration
The fund was formed to provide support for the oklahoma capitol complex and state centennial commemorative commission in their joint effort to organize, promote, and commemorate the centennial of oklahoma's admission to statehood in 1907 and to provide an entity through which funds can be distributed to the various goals of the commission. These goals include the restoration of historical properties, creation of state and local historic and archaeological programs and activities, publication and development of educational materials and documentary projects improvements to museums, libraries, parks and cultural centers and renovations to the state capitol, state buildings and capitol complex, including development of plans and resources for the addition of a dome to the state capitol.
