To provide financial assistance to employees of the california department of forestry and fire protection (cdf), their dependents, and the retired employees of cdf and their dependants, who are stationed/employed in the tuolumne/calaveras ranger unit. the financial assistance shall be granted to these individuals in the event of a personal catastrophe such as, but not limited to, illness, death, travel or housing necessary due to illness or death, funeral expenses, & travel or housing necessary due to funeral issues. financial assistance will also be granted annually for two employees requesting assistance for education costs to enhance their employment/promotional possibilities. funds will be generated by voluntary individual contribution and fund raising events.
