People and resources together foundation mission is to assist local area residents within the greater sacramento (ca) city/county and metropolitan area who are on public support, in need of food and shelter, or emergency services such as battered women/men and children programs. The organization especially assists senior nutriition programs by providing assistance for the "meals on wheels" program for food; companion programs and assistance with appointments for medical care/needs and personal items/issues. The ultimate goals are to assist to help the people reduce their need for public support.support is also provided for young children for education programs and assistance for clothing and shelter in emergency situations. The organization works together with many local groups and organizations to help with the needs of these persons including providing for scholarships for high school students to enable them to get a better education and hopefully become self supporting citizens.
