Volunteers include board members, funds distribution volunteers, campaign chairpeople, loan executives, and campaign coordinators. board members are recruited for either the county they live in or work in. as a board member they attend monthly meetings, assist during the campaign and the funds dsitribution process, serve as ambassadors for the organization and help secure other volunteers, supporters and donors. funds distribution volunteers are assigned to one of four agency focus areas, helping youth succeed, meeting basic needs, serving people with special needs, and strengthening families and individuals. they attend meetings with each agency and attend final committee meetings where allocations are made. campaign chairpeople are lead volunteers for the campaign efforts in their county. duties include helping set a goal, recruiting other volunteers, securing corporate donations, and meeting with prospects about new campaigns. they are also available for media interviews and provide encouragement and direction throughout the campaign to the staff and volunteers. loaned executives are assigned four to six area companies and are the organization's contact person for those companies. they work with the coordinator at each company on the campaign. they speak at employee meetings at each of the assigned companies. they are also responsible for delivering completed pledge envelope(s) from the companies to the organization's office. campaign coordinators are volunteers from each company that conduct an employee campaign. they plan and carry out all aspects of the campaign within their company, including setting a goal, making sure all supplies are on hand, scheduling employee meetings, notifying employees about meetings, conducting meetings, and finalizing the results to be reported to the loaned executives.
