Promote the advancement of practical knowledge in the operation and maintenance of cemeteries. Among the means to be employed for this purpose shall be: meetings for the presentation and discussion of appropriate papers and for social and professional intercourse: the publication of such papers and discussions as may be deemed expedient: the collection and distribution of information, and such other means as the board of officers shall from time to time adpot. The creed of this association shall be to promote the improvement of western pennsylvania cemeteries, their management, operation and perpetuation; the encouragement of advance-of-need purchase and the placing of endowment care funds in a prudent irrevocable trust: the collection and dissemination of information and data of an educational nature having to do with the operation, maintenance, and improvement of western pennsylvania cemeteries and all things incident thereto: and to promote cordial relations among the cemeteries, th
