It is the mission of the association to promote the welfare of the games of volleyball in the state of nj by uniformly interpreting and administering the rules of the game as set forth by the nj state interscholastic athletic ass'n (njsiaa) and the nat'l federation of high schools (nfhs). the ass'n strives to promote and maintain the highest degree of volleyball officiating by having available at all times an adequate number of trained and capable officials who follow a uniform set of mechanics as developed over time and in co-ordination with the techniques established by the njsiaa and nfhs. the ass'n strives to act as an advocate for its member officials and works to develop a spirit of friendship and maintenance of the highest standard of ethics among officials, while preserving the traditions and ideals of the officiating community throughout nj and the country. this is primarily attained through its own comprehensive program of recruitment, classroom training, and on-the-court exp
