("corporation") shall be to exclusively support the service, teaching and research mission and goals of the university of florida, all as determined by the university of florida board of trustees. in particular, the corporation's purposes and objectives shall be: (a) to promote and support legal education, the highest ideals and ethics of the legal profession, legal research, and the administration of justice; (b) to aid and assist the fredric g. levin college of law ("college of law") university of florida, in the establishment, development and maintenance of a law center at the college of law. part vii section a refer to schedule j, part iii for additional information regarding the defined benefit plan. additional information form 990 line j: website the full website is www.Law.Ufl.Edu/alumni/leadership/uflcai form 990 - subsequent event on june 6, 2019, the university of florida board of trustees elected to decertify the association as a direct support organization, effective june 30, 2019. as a result, the association is no longer recognized as an official entity of the university, effective july 1, 2019. on july 1, 2019 the associations endowed assets, totaling 5,099,046, were transferred to the foundation. on october 31, 2019, the association transferred additional unrestricted assets, totaling 120,929 to the foundation and restricted assets, totaling 230,321 to the university. the associations decertification as a direct support organization resulted in changes to the bylaws of the association that were approved at the may 2020 meeting.
