The mission of the charter school of educational excellence (csee) is to produce students who meet or exceed all new york state learning standards. csee will do this by creating a challenging learning environment with high expectations for every child with an emphasis on the basic subject areas of english-language arts, mathematics, social studies, and science. the school will employ standards based and research proven curriculum, implement best educational practices, use a variety of assessments to measure on-going student progress in skills and content learning, and support teachers with professional development activities that are aligned to the instructional program. csees emphasis on basic subjects will give students a strong academic foundation that will allow them to become critical thinkers and life-long learners. the school will also expose students to a diverse curriculum that promotes appreciation of art, music, and cultural awareness. the charter school of educational excel
