Pines elementary school pta is organized under the authority of the north carolina congress of parents and teachers, a branch of the national congress of parents and teachers. The purposes of pines pta in common with those of the state and national pta are: to promote the welfare of children in the home, school, community, and place of worship; to raise the standards of home life; to secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children; to bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children; to develop between educators and general public united efforts to secure for all children the highest advantages in physical, mental, social and spiritual education.
