The Arc Of Durham County INC
The arc is committed to providing leadership in, and advocacy for, quality human services for children and adults with mental retardation and related developmental disabilities, and their families. The arc works in the public and private sectors on the local, state and national levels, so that our constituency may have the opportunity to live, learn, work and play within the mainstream of society. The arc strives to improve the welfare of persons with mental retardation through parent support, information and referral, and public awareness. The arc is further committed to direct provision of services not otherwise available until advocacy produces effective programming by other public and private agencies.
