The purpose of the club is to promote the continued health, care, safety, and well being of the pekingese and promote general and specific knowledge of the pekingese as a companion animal. the object of the club involves providing an effective safety net for pekingese as need arises out of situations involving private surrender or seizure or closure of a commercial mill or kennel closed by government authorities for cruelty or non-compliance with federal, state or county laws. in addition, all pekingese coming into the rescue program are typically evaluated by a veterinarian and corrective measures recommended are provided by the veterinarian or foster home in order to make sure each dog is given the best chance for a successful adaption.
