Kidsvoting tampa bay is formed to increase voter turnout and create a better informed electorate. It is a nonpartisan organization that engages students and families in voting and other civic activities. Kidsvoting tampa bay encompasses all economic social classes. School districts throughout five neighboring counties are offered the program, including private, secondary and home schooled students. Students in grades k-12 are given curriculum lessons regarding voting. On election day, accompanied by their parent or guardian, students cast a ballot in their neighborhood precinct polling location. The program intends to implement the project every two years in general, statewide and national elections.
