Overview

Mission

Protecting our air, water and open spaces. We investigate problems, craft solutions, educate the public and decision-makers and help the public make their voices heard in local, state, and national debates over the quality of our environment. The corporation is organized exclusively for charitable, educational, and scientific purposes as allowed by section 501c3 of the internal revenue code, including, for such purposes, identifying, researching, analyzing, and pursuing solutions to problems of consumer protection, environmental preservation, corporate and governmental responsibility, and other issues affecting the social welfare of the people of Pennsylvania and the nation, and to cooperate with other public interest groups.

What it reported doing in 2024

Public education and outreach: recruiting volunteers, distributing educational literature, conducting surveys and discussing issues with the public reaching thousands of citizens each year on the following issues: promoting renewable energy strategies, cleaning up our waterways and banning toxic pesticides used in food production.
