Mission

Brown medicine is a non-profit, academic, multi-specialty medical group with practice locations in providence, ri and surrounding communities. Our three-part mission combines patient care, teaching, and research, enabling us to provide exceptional care locally, nationally, and globally.

Brown medicine provided primary care and specialty care at numerous sites throughout Rhode Island as well as outpatient and inpatient care through nine subspecialty divisions at Rhode Island hospital, miriam hospital and the providence veteran's administration hospital. Brown medicine physicians ran the hospitalists programs at both the Rhode Island and miriam hospitals. In addition, brown medicine offered medical care at all seven of Rhode Island's inpatient kidney dialysis centers and two stand alone outpatient dialysis centers, and brown medicine offered a travel clinic.
