IRS 990 Nonprofit Profile

Florence FFA4-H Booster Club

The Florence FFA/4-H Booster Club (the Club) is committed to the agricultural related education of children in the Florence, Texas community. The purpose of the Club is to help children have the opportunity to extend their education, level of responsibility and work ethic by raising livestock for competition. Through participation in the local FFA and 4-H organizations, children raise livestock and compete in the annual Williamson County Livestock Show. The Club raises money to help "purchase" the winning livestock each year during the "mock" auction at the show. This enables the children to cover the expenses of raising the animals, continue on to state and national competitions and purchase a new animal for the following year. In addition to funding the livestock projects for the children, the Club awarded one scholarship to a high school senior this year.
