The purposes for which the corporation is formed are as follows. a.To conduct the following activities which are exclusively charitable and to assist maintain and foster and interest in economic, civic, social and cultural affairs of the puerto rican and latino communities (the community) and promote other charitable, scientific, literary or educational purposes through specific programs which ensure the encouragement of research which aids the community through the development of strategies which ensure the success of its members and the community; through identification of issues that may influence legislation and public and private policy affecting the community; through fostering an organization that supports and enhances its members; through a demonstration of the achievement levels obtainable by individuals of the community through the utilization of all possible means to further the advancement of the community in every social, economic, educational and cultural environment; and
