Overview
Mission
Community power educates and activates the residents of Minnesota cities to create clean, local, equitable, affordable & reliable energy systems.
What it reported doing in 2024
Community power provides public education, movement building organizing, and new strategies for communities to take charge of their energy future. This includes nonpartisan candidate forums, organizing frontline organizations around new models for clean energy access, and supporting cities in maximizing the impact of their equitable climate policy.

- Donor-supported. 89% of the money available for current operations came from contributions and gifts.
- Distribution model
- Direct operator. The filing allocates 100% of reported program-service expenses outside its grant, affiliate-payment, and member-benefit lines. This expense classification does not rule out separately announced grant awards.
