Raising awareness of the current practices and harms of illegal hunting in africa is a major goal of the organization, as education and awreness are keys to bringing about a concerted and lasting effort to stop these practices; the education component of the african wildlife conservation project consists of speaking to schools, organizations (such as professional hunting clubs) businesses and individuals throughout the united states about the global impact of poaching and its harmful effects on humans, animals, and the environment; teaching community members and community leaders to spot signs of illegal hunting practices, to gather evidence of the practices, and to preserve discovered evidence of poaching in order to help prosecute this perpetrating illegal poaching activities;this activity will not only spread awareness of illegal poaching practices taking place throughout coutada 9, mosambique, but will also be helping to prosecute poachers and prevent harm to animals.
