IRS 990 Nonprofit Profile
Low Cost Animal Medical Center
Our mission is to end the needless and horrible suffering and killing of dogs and cats in the metro new orleans area by: 1) providing high quality veterinary care at significantly discounted prices to help middle and low-income pet owners better care for and afford to keep their pets; especially pet owners who have never been to a veterinarian. 2) offering high volume, low cost spay/neuter similar to austin, jacksonville, and ashville, cities that have lowered their euthanasia rates to below 10%. 3) creating a "real world" teaching facility for tulane's ab freeman school of business and lsu's school of veterinary medicine. 4) becoming a resource for other animal welfare groups who need affordable spay/neuter and veterinary care. 5) spur our neighborhood's economic development with veterinary care, employment opportunities, increased consumer traffic, and higher property values. 6) opening a pet food bank for supplemental pet food for spayed/neutered animals of low-income residents.
