(hereinafter, the "foundation") is organized and operated as a tax-exempt non-for-profit organization, established to develop and foster good will, and better understanding and relations between the people of austria and of austrian descent, whether located in the united states or elsewhere, and the people of the united states. the main purpose of the foundation is to organize austrian cultural and heritage-related events, such as concerts, dinners and exhibits. many autrians and persons of austrian descent have settled in the united states, including the midwest, and have made and continue to make valuable contributions to the unted states. these individuals also maintain ties and relations to people in europe and globally. these individuals who have settled in the united states oftentimes celebrate their cultural, heritage and these events can lead to preserving and developing the goodwill between the peoples of austria, the united states and other countries. the foundation desires to organize the celebration of the austrian heritage and thereby preserve and build upon the goodwill existing between the people of the aforesaid countries. the foundation intends to achieve this goal by holding autrial cultural and heritage-related events. the most important event planned for the foundation is a celebration of the austrian national day annually in october which celebrates austria's declaration of neutrality. it is expected that this event will continue to be held annually at a forum located within illinois and shall be sponsored through donations made by local businesses and individuals. invitations to the event shall be extended to austrians and individuals of austrian descent and friends of austria located in the midwest, as well as to local, civic leaders, and representatives of various countries. it is not expected that any admission fee will be charged for this event, and that the cost of this event will be funded solely through donation, from local businesses and individuals. in coming years, the foundation may decide to hold additional cultural and heritage-related events, if and to the extent that the foundation determines that the holding of any such additional events would be beneficial to the preservation and development of goodwill between the peoples of austria, the united states and other countries.
