Description of organization mission: the corporation is organized, and shall be operated, exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code and in furtherance, but without limitation, of those purposes shall (a) serve as a convening and coordinating body to bring together individuals, public agencies and private organizaions, both nonprofit and for-profit, for collaborative consideration of the civic, cultural, economic and other costs and benefits to the city of boston, massachusetts and the surrounding area in serving as host for the year 2024 olympic games; (b) in order to educate the public, conduct and publish the results of research, studies and analyses concerning the hosting of such games; and (c) if circumstances so warrant, facilitate the establishment of, or act as, the organizing committee for the olympic games in the year 2024 in and around the city of boston, massachusetts.
