Organizations primary exempt purpose our mission is to inform and educate policy makers and the public on federal policy issues distinctive to western and rural communities. the western caucus foundation is committed to advancing the following key principles protecting private property, strengthening local control, promoting economic growth, and increasing energy independence. the western caucus foundation is a cultural exchange organization that will provide education and communications to public policy makers and the public that shall further enhance, sustain, and preserve the wests dynamic and unique culture. the foundation provides support, education, and networking opportunities to advance the public policies important to the west. we will disseminate information to people in washington, and across the country, that the west is a real place where people live, work and play, and that it is not an abstraction or an idyllic playground. the foundation will also educate congressional staff and others on public policy issues unique to the west by organizing meetings, conferences, and programs to facilitate the exchange of ideas and information to address critical issues facing the west and rural america. in particular, we will highlight information showing that decisions made in congress can have unique consequences in the west that most folks never see.
