Smarty patch foundation, inc., hereinafter referred to as "smarty patch", was created to ensure the development of children in the greater san diego area by improving educational opportunities, strengthening families, and creating and supporting community outreach programs. through collaboration with parents, we will work to address the issues that many children and families in our communities face on a daily basis. through our core values of collaboration, respect, caring, education and consistency, we will strive to promote and offer opportunities for families to come together to help build a positive and constructive educational foundation for the children within the family unit and within the community. we also recognize the need for education and tutoring programs for children of all economic and ethnic backgrounds that are linguistically diverse and culturally competent in addition to programs that meet the challenges of families with special needs children.
