To promote performance, education, and research in improvised music, and illuminate connections between musical improvisation and creativity across cultures. Bringing together diverse cultures, ethnicities, disciplines, and ideas that shape society at large, todays musical world is rich with creative expressions that transcend conventional styles and categories. Improvisation is a core aspect of this global confluence. Noise will provide opportunities to allow musical improvisers to network bring their unique style to others by sponsoring performances, festivals, and conferences where the attending public can learn more about the performer's culture. The performances and festivals will include opportunities for the performers to discuss their culture and style with youth and with the public at large. There will be workshops and performances. Noise will encourage collaboration with improvisatory practioners within music.
