IRS 990 Nonprofit Profile
Texas Gulf Coast Boston Terrier Rescue Inc
Texas boston terrier rescue, inc. aka rural dog rescue, inc., is a 501(c)(c) non-profit organization focused primarily on these goals: (1) rescuing as many dogs (and cats) as possible from kill shelters and from families whose circumstances have changed - such as the death of an owner or the entry into a nursing home of an elderly owner - and rehome them in well-matched, loving homes. in 2016 we rehomed 3,201 homeless dogs and cats, age-appropriately spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, microchipped, and heartworm tested. we provide heartworm treatment for free to adopters. (2) rehoming the dogs though very low adoption fees ($50.00) so that the vast majority of good homes will not be overlooked due to unrealistically high dog adoption fees, including senior citizens and lower income families. (3) reduce pet overpopulation by providing low cost spay/neuter clinics in order to reduce the oversupply of animals without homes.
