THE HACKTORY The Hacktory
The goals of the hacktory are to: 1) inspire people to rethink what's possible with technology 2) provide formal and informal opportunities for spontaneous learning and discovery related to technology, science and art 3) revive the definition of "hacking" as problem-solving, and encourage the general public to hack many areas of their lives 4) foster a creative community and space where sharing knowledge, skills, and the process of learning by failing among people of many backgrounds is encouraged 5) support educators in their efforts to implement and foster hands-on learning activities, project based learning and the space to engage in these activities within their institutions 6) support artists to expand and transform their creative practice by incorporating technology.
