In memory of evan lieberman, to promote, foster and advance the quality of care and the experience of patients' families provided by trauma centers in westchester county and other counties in new york state, and to promote, foster and advance education, advocacy, research and solutions regarding distracted driving and injury prevention with a goal of preventing injuries sustained by drivers, passengers and pedestrians from traffic collisions. activities may include: (a) to increase the efficiency of care offered by trauma centers by providing funds to help offset the costs of additional personnel or for training of personnel; (b) to organize and sponsor community meetings to discuss the level of emergency care offered at local trauma centers; (c) to make funds available to trauma centers to enable them to purchase state of the art emergency equipment and to help offset the costs of remodeling waiting rooms and overnight accommodations for families with extended stays; (d) to educate the general public, including those who work in the business and nonprofit communities, in all levels of government, and academia, on distracted driving issues and on initiatives to prevent or reduce distracted driving injuries and/or increase accountability for persons who violate distracted driving laws; (e) to encourage, and make funds available for, injury prevention and anti-distracted driving initiatives and training; (f) to organize and sponsor community activities, forums or discussions to promote, foster and advance public interest in the purposes of the corporation; and (g) to take whatever other appropriate actions that help achieve the purpose of evan's team inc. within the scope of its authority as a charitable corporation.
