The purpose of students reinventing michigan is to promote the education and training of students to recognize contemporary problems and propose solutions that will benefit the common good and general welfare of the michigan community. this is accomplished by offering essay contests in which students compete and receive cash prizes for use in their college education. students are encouraged to work with michigan legislators in crafting alternative approaches to solve michigan's problems.
