The objective and purpose of this association shall be to (a) unite for mutual benefit those public officials and private persons engaged in the prevention and investigation of vehicle theft and its kindred crimes (b) provide for the exchange of technical information and developments (c) cooperate with any individual, agency or association to further vehicle theft prevention and suppression (d) encourage high professional standards of conduct among members and other vehicle theft investigators and to continually strive to eliminate all factors which interfere with the administration of justice. the association is organized exclusively for charitable, religious, educational, and scientific purposes, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code, or corresponding section of any future federal tax code.
