Mindfulness is the core of chan zen buddhism practice and youth buddhist educational foundation ybef follows this lineage which emphasizes the confluence of the original teachings of the buddha along with the later teachings of the mahayana middle way and chinese teachings to build a firm foundation we study the teachings of shakyamuni buddha in depth through ybefs educational programs these study groups will allow visitors the opportunity to receive an introduction to buddhist principles including mindfulness meditation chanting the four noble truths the eightfold path as well as what it means to take refuge and precepts ybef forms the right mindfulness training academy rmta and diploma in buddhist studies dbs to train and benefit around 20 students besides taking the diploma courses the students also learn mindfulness meditation so that after finishing the courses they will be qualified as buddhist teachers and can continue on to ma degree
