Anti-displacement projects, inc. (adp) is a not-for-profit corporation formed exclusively for educational and charitable purposes to organize low-income families to improve conditions and quality of life. The adp is a multi-issue, institutionally and individually based membership organization, whose mission is to organize and empower low-income families in western massachusetts in order to build political and economic power, promote cooperative economic development, increase the livable-compensation level of jobs for poor and low-income people, provide career ladders, empower workers via decision making, skill enhancement and job formulation, and achieve resident control of affordable housing to create lasting social and economic change. The way adp accomplishes this is to create new institutions controlled by low-income people and then use combined wealth and knowledge of the organizations to benefit the community.
